De la Hoya-Pacquiao Bout

I'm a die-hard Oscar De la Hoya fan for the last ten years. Also, I'm proud of my heritage being a Filipino. Which makes this fight unbelievable for me.

Honestly, I'm dissappointed when I heard about this. For one, although I love Oscar and still believe that he's one of the greatest (if not my greatest) fighter of all time, I'm convinced he should have retired five years ago. It's dangerous for him to fight anymore. Plus, he's more of a businessman now than a boxer.

Pacquiao, on the other hand, carries our flag. Plus, he is a great, determined fighter. And no question, his fists really have power that kills (I think he's the best pound-for-pound fighter of his time.). I believe that he has every advantage (except for height and reach, obviously), in speed, power, and flexibility. Not to mention the spirit and determination to win.

So to me this fight is more of an "all-for-the-money" cause. And it saddens me very much because I really love the sport, and I respect both fighters very much. I'm not very excited about this bout as everyone (who knows me) thought.

I think Pacquiao will win this. In any case, it's a no-loss situation for Oscar, anyway.
